Marseille midfielder Arthur Vermeeren has been warned against joining Premier League giants Chelsea or Manchester United, as he has been told that he would ruin his career if he ever moves to either of the English clubs. After failing to make a mark at RB Leipzig, Vermeeren joined the Ligue 1 giants on loan towards the end of the summer transfer window.

Vermeeren established himself as one of the brightest prospects in world football during his time at before being signed by in January 2024 in a deal worth €25million (£21m/$29m). The Belgian wonderkid, however, failed to live up to his potential at Atletico and was eventually sold to RB Leipzig after just one year. Unfortunately, Vermeeren’s form did not pick up in Germany as well, as the 20-year-old was sent out on loan this summer to Marseille.
