Having reclaimed the Bundesliga title at the end of last season, Kompany’s men began the ongoing season with another trophy, beating Stuttgart to the DFL-Supercup in their first competitive game of the campaign. The Bavarians have been in incredible form, winning all 10 games since the start of the season to maintain a flawless record. The club signed the likes of Jonathan Tah and Luis Diaz, who have had a seamless adaptation at the Allianz Arena, while Kompany has also managed to successfully integrate youngsters into the dynamic.
Speaking on ServusTV Freund said: “He’s extremely ambitious, but so are the players. They want to win games, they want to win titles, and he knows how they feel in different situations and how to approach them. He simply has a really, really good relationship with the guys and lets them play attractive football.
“The foundation of everything is that they work hard, but also that they have fun. I think there’s never been so much running or sprinting at Bayern Munich. But the boys don’t mind because they have fun together.
“In the end, we found the perfect coach, who will hopefully stay at Bayern Munich for a very long time.”

The Bavarians’ spotless record will be at stake when they face their fiercest Bundesliga rivals, Borussia Dortmund, in the first Klassiker of the season on October 18. Niko Kovac’s men are also yet to taste defeat this season and are only four points below Bayern in second place.
